About us

Louis Farrell is a university student from Birmingham with a keen interest in data within football. Particularly how data can be used to improve a player at any age and any level of the game. We are increasingly seeing how data is used within professional football clubs. With clubs now investing heavily in data collection and employing some data experts from other industries.

Our ideas have led to this website being formed in 2022. The website has been formed to document, reflect and discuss the developments we are making towards our ideas.
What we would like to do is, see how data can be used at any age and any level of the game to not only win football matches but develop players further.

To develop youth football players particularly, we explore ways to collect individualised data to perform specific sets of skills. We can then use that data to manipulate coaching practices and sessions, individual technique and game management to attempt to get desired outcomes for player development.

Whether you are a football coach, sports coach, Sports Science student, performance analyst or anyone with a passing interest in football and developing players โ€“ this website may help you see how modern technology and methods can be used to develop your players.

Football coaching will always be at the forefront of developing football players. Modern technology has become readily available and more competitively priced to enable coaching to be complemented by technological insights that could develop players further than ever before.
